Hey guys,

It's been awhile since we wrote anything. SRP went really well, we had a steady group of girls who came to our programs, and more teens than we have had in several years. Just a quick update on what we have going on. This Friday (8/30/2008) we will be at Marquee Cinema for the premiere of Babylon A.D. It seems like a cool movie so if any of you are there come by our table between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. and get some free candy and buttons and other fun stuff. Other events coming up are Teen Read Week in October and Teen Nights in November and December. Keep checking back for more details about what we will be doing at each of these events. Also, don't forget to take our teen survey so that we can plan activities based on what you are interested in. Hope you all had a great August, and are looking forward to the new school year.

Hey guys this is Alissa. I promised I would do a better job in contributing to this site. We have been really busy lately. We have both gone through some life changes and then work has been CRAAAZZZZYYY!! What I want to know is what is happening with everyone out in cyberspace (or at least the Wythe County part of it) tell us about your horrible jobs, or lost loves, misery loves company. And Rochelle and I are full of stories. If there is anyone who knows what it is like to suffer through your teen years its us. Mainly because it was only like five years ago....so let it all out...were here for you.

Speaking of suffering through your teen years, I hope you guys aren't feeling as awkward and dorky as I did. I think Im still pretty awkward and dorky (and Rochelle might agree), but when I was about 15, I felt like I didn't fit in anywhere. I remember thinking school blew, and was a waste of my time and that boys were dumb. LOL, I am sure girls seem dumb to boys sometimes too. That's normal. All of that feeling awkward and worrying about if you will ever find someone to date and thinking you hate life and school is totally normal. Haha I think everyone is just a little bit emo in high school. And I am sorry to all of the emo kids who think that it sucks for me to say that, but when you think about it I'm right. We have all got things that make us angry and we all think the world just does'nt get us. That's life, haha I still feel it at 25 man. Let me know what you think!
